The Library now has Crossfire Commander (Beilstein).
CrossFire Commander is an integrated client/server application for searching the CrossFire Database Suite. Carnegie Mellon Libraries are providing access to CrossFire Beilstein as part the Commander package.
CrossFire Beilstein covers core organic chemistry journals from 1771-present and patent publications from 1869-1980. It provides all the organic chemistry information that chemists need to identify synthetic routes. Discovery scientists find physical substance data and can explore the pharmacological, ecological, and toxicological outcomes. Specific bioassay results, pharamacodynamic parameters, IogPs, toxicity values, and other important data types are all directly accessible.
This database is available on the public pc’s in all three libraries.
